WELCOME TO THE CENTRE for PSYCHOLOGY and COUNSELLING (FREMANTLE)

Supervision and training analysis are the ‘extras’ provided here, but each therapist is capable of handling long and short-term treatment of the more traditional kind within the field of counselling and clinical psychology. In most cases, Medicare rebates are applicable (as well as private health schemes, such as HBF).

For organisations we have practitioners that can provide short term Employee Assistance counselling, as well as consultation on appropriate responses to critical incidents.

We are also able to provide Clinical Supervision for Psychologists, Counsellors, Psychotherapists, and other health practitioners.

The centre is conveniently located in Market Street two minutes walk from the Fremantle Train Station.

Several practitioners in counselling and psychology work from here, and in addition to the usual range of psychological treatment and counselling, the professionals at this centre have something else to offer. All of them have done their own personal and/or training analysis that demonstrates a devotion and commitment to their work over many years.

Several of them practice psychoanalysis (Jungian) and are familiar with dream analysis and other techniques to establish a relationship between the unconscious and conscious, which is vital for a good mental and emotional balance.

You can see further details of each individual’s work and background by viewing our practitioners page and decide whom to contact (whether it is about a referral or establishing an immediate contact oneself). Links are established on those pages that will refer you to relevant professional organisations. For example, there are several practitioners of psychoanalysis (Jungian) working at the Centre, and information about the relevant registering organisations can be viewed on their pages.
